Children in Year 6 have taken part in workshops where they were taught about the different Prevent strategies. The Prevent Strategy is the governmental initiative that aims to work with vulnerable individuals who may be at risk of: being exploited by radical groups and/or subsequently drawn into extremist activity.
They looked at how to stay safe online, how to spot fake news, how to critically think about stereotypes and what extremism looks like in our modern society. They then created an assembly to help the Year 4 and 5 students to learn and spread the word.
