At St Edward’s we wanted to create a love of reading across the school and promote diversity across our school family. Each class were given an author and asked to choose a text the children were familiar with. They text was shared with the children role play took place and lots of discussions to promote language.  The children were then set tasks corresponding with the given text. The work each class completed was used to create the wonderful displays around our school. We feel by having these displays around our building it will encourage a child to look at a particular author and enthuse them to read more.
